LECTURER IN ECONOMICS (possibility of Course Leader position)
Required from Jan 1st 2020 or asap afterwards
Full time permanent contract 1.0 (other fractions may be available)
Salary range 1-12: £23,488 to £37,370 (plus RA B £1200 for Course Leader)
(Starting salary dependent upon qualifications and experience)
Not only can we offer the chance to teach successful, intelligent and ambitious students, but we can do so in the beautiful Cotswold setting of Cirencester. We are seeking an adaptable and creative individual to join our new Faculty and contribute to building a great teaching team. Your timetable will be largely or wholly A Level Economics (OCR) with possibly a small amount of teaching in related subject. There may also be opportunities for a small amount of HE work. We are also interested in candidates who would like to act as a personal tutor.
Candidates should have a commitment to further education and be motivated to achieve high standards in teaching and learning. The ability to work well within teams and to adapt to curriculum demands is essential. Ideally candidates should possess a good honours degree and a teaching qualification. The College is very supportive of new entrants into the teaching profession and we are therefore willing to consider applications from graduates who are willing to train as part of their professional development. We would ideally like you to start in the New Year but understand if you cannot start until February Half Term.
