Salary range 1-12: £23,488 to £37,370 plus potential Responsibility Allowance C (£1500)
(Starting salary dependent upon qualifications and experience)

The department itself is a vibrant, supportive and forward-thinking team; the teaching staff work together closely and have a genuine passion for the subject. We are seeking an adaptable and creative individual or individuals to join our high achieving team and contribute to curriculum initiatives. Candidates should also expect to act as a personal tutor.
Most of your teaching timetable will involve A-Level Sociology; a great opportunity whether you are experienced, new to the profession or want to make the switch from an 11-16 school. The successful candidate will also be offered the opportunity to lead our team in teaching Sociology for which an RA of £1500 will be paid.
Candidates should have a commitment to further education and be motivated to achieve high standards in teaching and learning. The ability to work well within teams and to adapt to curriculum demands is essential. Ideally candidates should possess a good honours degree in a relevant subject and a teaching qualification. It would be advantageous to have had experience teaching (or willingness to) teach a second subject, such as law or psychology.
