Fractional Fixed Term Contract – 1st September 2019 – 30th June 2020 This post may be extended beyond 2020
Fractional Term time only – 30 hours per week for 32 weeks
Salary – 10.95 – 11.55 per hour / £17832-£18810 pro rata

Are you working with young people or adults, perhaps in the care sector?
Are you interested in supporting these people to succeed in education?

We are looking for a positive, calm individual with an ability to see humour in difficult situations, to support students with complex physical disabilities to access our Sixth Form provision.  The successful candidate will work as part of the Learning Support team to provide support both in class and with intimate care.

You will have
• A good level of general education. Ideally GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above
• an understanding of your responsibilities with regards to Keeping Children Safe in Education Act
• A positive interest in working with young people.
• A demonstrable ability to work calmly.
• A caring and dedicated attitude to young people.

Staff who carry out intimate support routines for learners will have training and will be aware of best practice. A full-enhanced DBS with barred list check will be carried out on the successful applicant.

NB: Because the duties involve close physical contact and providing personal hygiene and intimate physical care support, this post is restricted to female applicants only.
